The design inspiration for this piece comes from the IKEA tableware product, KNYCK, a paperweight tool. The delicate ball at the front of the tool, contrasted with the substantial base, sparked my interest.

This work communicates a perspective on objects, asserting that "this thing is not that thing". Even if two objects are very similar, with identical behavior, they can produce different results, much like a pair of twins. Though they may look identical, their personalities can be entirely different. Hence, by maintaining the form of KNYCK in its outward appearance, the design invites users to focus more on the differing functions, enabling them to perceive the significant differences within this unity.
