FUTURE EVIDENCE
FUTURE EVIDENCE is an experiment pondering on the potential future of rural areas. It is composed of four small stories.
The first story, LIVE HOUSE, is based on the trend of decreasing indigenous inhabitants in Chinese villages. It explores how visitors can better experience the process of communicating with the indigenous people by replicating their lifestyle and integrating it into the renovated houses.
The second story, SOULOTION, is also based on the trend of decreasing indigenous inhabitants in the villages. Visitors can fantasize about the scenario of communicating with the indigenous people through a magical potion.
The third story, FUTRONIC INSECT/PLANTS, is set in a future field where there will be electrified insects or plants hiding in the fields. If they are accidentally touched, the electronics within their bodies would interfere with the human brain waves and produce hallucinations, initiating thoughts about the future.
The fourth story is due to the decreasing number of residents staying in the village. Different villages might need robots (animals) for management. Many caretaker robots (animals) look alike so much that visitors can see the same things even if they go to different villages. Therefore, different flags are needed for distinction.
